Here is a list of all the services I provide as well as a pricing chart for the going rates for each of them. Depending on what you want to do for a print, certain services will be required and included in your estimate. If there is something not listed here that you are interested in, please feel free to inquire.
Slicer/Printer prep
A slicer is the type of program used to load a model into and create a path for the printer to print the object. There is a level of fine tuning that is required to optimize and strengthen the object at this step. Printers have certain rules that must be kept in line and using the slicer, I can find ways to get the most out of that.
3d printing
I run the slicer file through my printer to create the final product. With this service, I can offer multiple textured buildplates, Multicolour prints (up to 4 colours) and whatever your imagination can come up with.
3d modeling
This comes more into play when a custom part is needed. If the file you are looking for does not yet exist, I can work to create the 3d model using Blender that can then be run through the slicer and printed.
Sanding
Printing happens in a layer by layer process. This creates layer/print lines on the object. You will see these lines in the final result unless some post-processing steps are taken. Depending on the print, you may want to hide these lines which can be done through sanding. Starting at a low grit and working my way up to smooth out the object.
Please keep in mind that like anything else, sanding creates scratches in the surface of the model. This can hide the lines but create discolouration.
Priming
This is nothing special. I offer priming as a service to prep the model for painting or to give it a base coat in general.
Painting
Depending on the desired outcome, you can request to have the print painted. Currently working with acrylics to paint in more precise details into the object. Please note that priming is required for this step and sanding provides a better outcome.
Varnish
Similar to priming, varnish is done to seal the print in a protective coating. Glossy or matte.
